• MAGIC TH6 Software for additional
PC workplaces
To control the system from a second workstation,
e.g. a Screener location, an additional MAGIC TH6
Software licence is needed. The MAGIC TH6 Software
communicates via TCP/IP protocol with the MAGIC
TH6 using a further Port address and provides the same
control functions as the MAGIC TH6 Software at the first
workstation. Up to three additional software licences can
be installed. A caller line is automatically blocked for
other users if one user works with the line.
• Pretalk Streaming Upgrade
With the Pretalk Streaming Upgrade up to four
Pretalk workplaces can be realized whose Audio signals
are transmitted via LAN. At the Pretalk workplace a PC
with the MAGIC TH6 Software is installed which is con-
nected via an USB Headset. The Pretalk Streaming
Upgrade is especially an advantage if there are not
enough Audio lines available or if the Pretalk workplace
is located far away from the telephone hybrid.
• Recording function
With the Recording function a caller signal can be
recorded live on a PC via the Pretalk Streaming Client.
The optional Pretalk Streaming Upgrade is required for
this function.
• Extension for Voice over IP
Optionally, an extension for the MAGIC TH6 Tele-
phone Hybrid is available with which the system can
operate as a Voice over IP telephone hybrid. Up to six
callers can be handled with the system e.g. in the POTS or
ISDN mode. All described functions are available in the
IP mode, too.
• HD Voice Upgrade
Using the system with this release in the
Voice-over-IP mode, calls from HD-Voice
compatible telephones can be received in a 7-
kHz quality. Of course, outgoing calls to telephones
which are HD Voice compatible are transmitted in a 7-
kHz quality as well.
• DTMF Generator & Analyzer Plug-In
This software extension enables the MAGIC TH6 to
analyze DTMF tones. This function is particularly suita-
ble for e.g. game shows. The system highlights the caller
who sent the right answer first via DTMF.
Additionally, the DTMF extension can also be used for
event signalling at e.g. sports broadcastings. For this
application DTMF event labels are defined in the soft-
ware configuration, so can the telephone key “0“ be allo-
cated to the word “goal“. If one of the reporters in the sta-
diums presses “0“, the information “goal“ appears in
green letters on the Presenter´s screen and he can imme-
diately switch the reporter of the relevant game ON AIR.
