Digital POTS, ISDN & VoIP Telephone Hybrids
General
MAGIC TH
ipPro
is available in three basic versions
(POTS, ISDN or VoIP). In the POTS version, maximum
eight caller lines can be provided. In the ISDN and VoIP
version, systems for eight lines as well as for sixteen lines
are available.
Via the two LAN interfaces on the rear side of the unit
system control and VoIP connections are realised.
Independent from the type of the line interfaces the
MAGIC TH
ipPro
provides eight digital Audio lines (four
AES/EBU interfaces) as well as two analogue Audio
inputs and outputs. Additionally, two handset/headset
interfaces can be used for Pretalk.
The MAGIC TH
ipPr
o
has an illuminated graphical dis-
play with a resolution of 160 x 32 pixels and a front key-
pad, which can be used for basic settings and status indi-
cations.
Digital Signal Processing
To optimize the Audio quality a digital Echo Cancel-
ler, an Automatic Gain Control and an Expander for
noise suppression are available for each caller line.
System Control
The system is controlled via the integrated LAN inter-
face with the Windows PC Software modules MAGIC
TH
ipPro
LAN and/or MAGIC TH
ipPro
Screener. Overall up
to 20 control and screener places can be installed. Via the
MAGIC TH
ipPro
Admin Upgrade the resources of the sys-
tem can be shared/split for up to six studios.
Further control possibilities are provided by the GPIO
contacts (8 x TTL input/output, 8 x relay).
System Upgrades
The MAGIC TH
ipPro
POTS and ISDN Telephone
Hybrids can be extended later on so that they can be used
as Voice over IP telephone hybrids as well. Depending on
the upgrade there are eight or sixteen caller lines over IP
available. All described functions are also provided in
the VoIP mode.
Besides, an upgrade to sixteen VoIP caller lines is
available for the eight channels MAGIC TH
ipPro
VoIP sys-
tem. Likewise, the MAGIC TH
ipPro
8 ISDN can be
upgraded to sixteen ISDN caller lines.
Mixed Mode
If Voice-over-IP is activated in a MAGIC TH
ipPro
ISDN/POTS, the caller lines can be splitted in the so-
called Mixed Mode. In this case a simultaneously work-
ing with ISDN respectively POTS and VoIP lines is posi-
ble.
